Only a short drive from Exeter city centre the Poachers Inn opens its doors to you with a warming atmosphere and welcoming friendly staff. This 18th century Inn situated in the beautiful village of Ide. We offer a tempting Al a carte menu specialising in fresh Fish and game (when in season) served in our non smoking dining room and the bar. If the local ales, wines, and draught beers prove too much why not book yourselves into one of our three En-suite rooms and enjoy a freshly prepared full English breakfast before departure.

Comments from a customer,
When I stayed there they had a lovely log fire burning in the grate and it felt really cosy, the room was nice and the English breakfast was lovely, although they did try to palm me off with a continental breakfast. The garden at the back is very nice. I didn’t eat an evening meal there but the food looked very good, if a tad on the expansive side.

The sixteenth century Nobody Inn is set in rolling Devon countryside between the Haldon Hills and the Teign Valley about six miles to the south-west of Exeter. Although modern the history of the Inn can be traced back to 1591 it was not until two hundred years later that it became the New Inn and another one hundred and sixty before it was renamed The Nobody Inn. Today The Nobody Inn is one of the country's leading inns - renowned for its imaginative wine and whisky list, comprehensive selection of local cheeses and creative cooking based on fresh local produce. Low ceilings, blackened beams, inglenook fireplace, antique furniture and timeless atmosphere retain The Nobody's unspoilt old world charm.

Comments from a customer,
We all eat inside and I have to say everyone enjoyed their meal, and the bill didn’t give us indigestion ether. The staff were very friendly and helpful, well done! next time We will book and stay the night.
